I don't know, it feels like there's something — some unknown factor — driving record levels of anxiety among the American population:
In a year marked by financial worries and political tension, a new survey has uncovered the staggering impact of stress on everyday Americans. The average person feels their head "spinning" from stress a whopping 156 times per year, translating to about three times a week. ...
This alarming statistic is just one of many eye-opening findings from a recent study conducted by Talker Research for Traditional Medicinals. The survey, which polled 2,000 adults, also found that 41% of respondents are currently experiencing their peak stress levels for the year.
Americans are also reportedly experiencing "brain fog" up to three times per week, the same number of times they find their heads "spinning."
So much stress. So many headaches. Why are we seeing these historic levels right now?
Could it be because of the record-high and ongoing crushing inflation that's made everything, everywhere more expensive?
Or the fact that our border crisis has gotten so severe that we're now seeing huge influxes of Indian nationals coming into our country?
Or is it that crime levels are so elevated that lawmakers are now requiring retail stores to include "panic buttons" in their building schematics?
Whatever's driving it, it's having a markedly negative effect on our collective health:
Americans also noted various signs that reveal they're stressed, including trouble sleeping (42%), irritability (37%), fatigue (34%), headaches (33%), and feeling worried or paranoid (31%)
Just imagine what these numbers would look like after another 4 years!
