Today's a tough day.
For the past 3 years, Adam and I have dedicated ourselves to this site, putting our absolute all into the mission and vision we've shared for Not the Bee. In the weeks following the site's launch, it became clear that our pet project was going to become something much more than a hobby. And though we decided to move down this path together, let me be very clear: Not the Bee's success is a direct result of Adam Ford's impeccable commitment to his faith, his unmatched ability to create quality content, his knack for spotting the right story, and his humorous way of delivering the news in a way that's funny, conversational, and relatable.
I rarely meet titans in my life that I look up to in quite the same way I look up to Adam. Though Seth and I have built several businesses together, it wasn't until we partnered with Adam that our life's work became a mission, and a testament to the goodness of God in providing an opportunity to (hopefully) make a positive impact that goes far beyond anything we had done prior.
In private, I've expressed my thanks and appreciation to Adam. But we're dudes, and dudes don't just sit around talking about feelings. It's actually easier for me to type this here for you all to see. Adam is the real deal. He's an awesome man of faith and integrity, and he's an amazing friend to me and Seth and to all of us that have followed him around as fans of his comics, CDR, The Bee, Disrn and now Not the Bee. I am lucky enough to have been intimately involved in 3 of those 5 projects, and to have worked alongside him to build this community and site.
None of it was possible without God. Second to that, none of it was possible without Adam.
Cheers, brother. 🍻
And may your future eventually lead you back to my inbox with a great business idea that I'll help you launch.
