Activist says all children should be put on puberty blockers, a position I'm SURE won't be mainstream in 10 years

This is a mess, and by that, I mean a steaming pile of the most rank, putrid garbage I've ever seen or heard (and that's a tall order).

Activist Zachary Antolak – who changed his name to Lauren McNamara and goes by "Zinnia Jones" on social – recently laid out an argument for putting all children on puberty blockers.

I'll just stop there for a moment to let you process this statement.

"Zinnia" said children are able to legally consent to these blockers because they already have no choice in consenting to the "permanent and irreversible changes" that happen naturally through puberty:

Zinnia is obviously a person with harmful, unscientific fringe positions. Zinnia is a man pretending to be a woman and living in a polyamorous relationship with a lesbian and another man pretending to be a woman. Usually, I wouldn't engage in the madness of such illogical and immoral statements. In a fallen world, such depraved thoughts have always existed: the internet has simply allowed such thoughts greater audience.

In our clown world, however, where countries like Canada have made it criminal to not use preferred pronouns – let alone the insanity happening in the U.S. – such fringe positions have a nasty habit of becoming mainstream within a matter of years.

Zinnia doubled down on his tOtAllY sCiEnTiFic claim, launching into a tirade of why we should stop the natural process of growth that occurs in all living things to indulge our fantasies:

Then, lest you criticize the lunacy, Zinnia wants you to know that he is playing 4D chess at a level you stupid people – you dummies that believe in biology, morality, and the fear of God – can't understand.

Zinnia opines that our natural biological growth – as hardwired into our DNA at a molecular level throughout all 7 trillion of our intricately designed cells – became "optional" the moment we developed the technology to do otherwise.

Here are some other statements that would fit into Zinnia's argumentative framework:

  • "Gravity became optional the moment technology became available to enable deliberate choice between natural falling and falling induced by airplane."
  • "The Geneva Convention became optional the moment technology became available to enable deliberate choice between conventional warfare and warfare induced by nuclear oblivion."
  • "Honest elections became optional the moment technology became available to enable deliberate choice between conventional voting and voting induced by algorithmic programming."
  • "Life became optional the moment technology became available to enable deliberate choice between birth and death induced by abortion."

What Zinnia doesn't seem to grasp is the fundamental reality that just because something can be done doesn't mean it should be done.

That's a really, really, really, really important lesson I've taught my toddlers. It's too bad Zinnia didn't get that lesson.

This completely rational and sane man then goes on to acknowledge that we could "only" give puberty blockers to gender dysphoric kids IF the idea of stunting the growth of all children everywhere seems "excessive."

This commentary follows a recent court ruling in the U.K. case of Keira Bell, a 23-year-old woman who was given puberty blockers at age 16 by the British National Health Service. Bell now regrets transitioning to living as a male and is suing the government, saying they didn't work hard enough to challenge her decision to transition. The court agreed with her, saying children under 16 are not old enough to give consent on such massively invasive medical treatment.

For the rest of humanity that has ever been or been around a 16-year-old, such things are readily apparent, but common sense is limited in clown world.
