As reported by ABC 7 in Los Angeles:
Hundreds of airline catering workers blocked a main artery into the Los Angeles International Airport amid the Thanksgiving travel rush Tuesday during a protest alleging unsafe working conditions.
The workers had the bright idea that keeping thousands of travelers from being able to make it to their flights to celebrate Thanksgiving with their families was the best way to garner support for their cause.
Flying Food Group employees called on the city of Los Angeles to hold the 'serial lawbreaker' catering company accountable for its treatment of workers.
'The conditions, from pipes bursting to blocked exits, and chemical burns are outrageous. I want a workplace where I feel safe. We ask the city to hold Flying Food Group accountable.' said Lilian Rosales, flight coordinator of 15 years, in a statement.
Fortunately for travelers, police were able to eventually move the protesters back onto the sidewalk and out of the street.
One can't help but notice that this type of protest wasn't happening in Ron DeSantis's Florida.
