If you're in Pennsylvania and you were planning on discriminating against someone because of their hair — THINK AGAIN. Governor Josh Shapiro has ended the hair discrimination scourge in the commonwealth once and for all.

😂😂😂

It's a real thing! It really happened!

The CROWN Act, as it's called, stands for "Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair" (though everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that the acronym should be CROWNH).

Because hair discrimination was, apparently … you know … a really huge problem. Or something.

CBS News has more on the historic occasion:

Shapiro signed the legislation at the Island Design Natural Hair Studio, which specializes in creating and caring for natural hairstyles.

'This is a place where the community gets nurtured, and folks get to walk in and walk out looking and feeling their absolute best,' Shapiro said. 'I think that's noble work.'

And surely not at all a blatant attempt at pandering. No way.

Shapiro, being a politician, also couldn't resist the opportunity to use the Bible to really drive home the importance of the law:

You hear that? God looks at your heart, not your hair.

The law bans discrimination in the workplace or schools based on someone's natural hairstyle or texture. Protected hairstyles include locs, braids, twists, afros, and more.

We've gone from having protected classes of people to now having protected hairstyles.

That's "progress," people! 🥴
