A jury in Austin, TX just ordered Infowars' Alex Jones to pay $4.1 million to parents of a 6-year-old slain in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.

Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin, parents of the 6-year-old Jesse, had sued Jones for $150 million for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress for spreading falsehoods about the massacre that claimed the lives of 20 young children and 6 adults.

Jones may also be subject to further punitive damages. According to CNN:

A separate, shorter trial during which punitive damages will be discussed is now expected. Punitive damages are awarded when the court finds the defendant's behavior to be especially offensive.
