You might be easily surprised, you might not be. But I don't think a statistic like this is going to catch anyone off-guard:
Almost two thirds of [men who believe they are women] in prisons who are legally recognised as men have been convicted of sex offences, new figures show.
Some 151 of the 245 trans women [sic] in prison at the end of March 2024 have been convicted of at least one sexual offence, according to government figures.
I hate to say it but these data are not in the least shocking. Well, they might be morally shocking, but it's not as if they don't tell us a lot we already knew.
It is worth stressing that these rates are much higher than those of the general population:
[A]bout 17 per cent of men in prison in England and Wales [have] been convicted of sexual offences.
Those numbers hold roughly true in U.S. federal prisons, by the way:
Nowhere near that two-thirds number!
With transgenderism plainly being a sexual disorder as much as anything else, we should be unhappily unsurprised that so many men suffering from it are in fact sexual criminals.
What's horrible is that many of these men are being housed with vulnerable female prisoners — of the 295 prisoners in the survey who identified as transgender in some way, "some 244 of these prisoners were held in the male prison estate with the remaining 51 held in the female estate."
And while recently revised rules prevent males convicted of sexual offenses "from being held in the women's prison estate," exemptions can still be made in "exceptional circumstances."
But we know what happens in those cases, folks. We've seen it time and time again:
We could end this madness right now. All we'd have to do is keep men out of women's prisons.
