It still breaks my heart.

They want amnesty.

There are people waking up to the lies they believed, and many are seeking forgiveness for the division and hatred they helped create. For Christians, there is a biblical mandate to reconcile with those who repent of their wrongdoing.

But there can never be amnesty for those in power – especially those who knew the truth but lied anyway – who used their power to cause untold damage to this world. It is an affront to God in heaven above to think you can simply say "forgive and forget" on behalf of the billions of victims of these policies.

That is not justice, and it is not grace.
