An Uber rider was stuck on I-95 in Virginia last week for 9 hours and then got a $600 bill for his ride ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Talk about adding insult to injury!

Andrew Peters says he was headed home to Virginia from San Francisco, but his flight from Dulles (VA) to Richmond got cancelled.

So what'd he do?

He hopped on an Uber, which was going to run him about $200, and consume about 2 hours of his time.

It would've been worth it, except he got stuck in the Great Virginia Traffic Jam of 2022.

Stuck there without any food or water.

FOR NINE HOURS!!

And get this:

Peters got home and paid a $200 Uber bill. But then Peters said Uber added $400, raising his total bill to $600โ€ฆ

Peters said the ride-hailing company never mentioned anything about fares changing on his app. He noted he had to pause his credit card since he was worried the charge may overdraft his account.

Okay, nope. Not paying that!

Peters hit up Uber, and at first they didn't respond, which, if that's me, it wouldn't sit well (by then my patience would've been non-existent).

Luckily, they got back to him the next day:

On Wednesday, Peters received a notice of refund for his trip, and Uber responded to FOX's request for comment stating, "We have refunded Mr. Peters after this terrible ordeal and are so glad that he and his Uber driver got home safely."

Okay, that makes me feel better!

Here's Peters on Fox:
