I wasn't sure they'd actually do it, but they did:

The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has taken back the honorary Emmy it had awarded then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo last year.

Life is hard when you're the "best" governor who ever did govern in all the land. One day, the media loves you, celebrities are declaring themselves "Cuomosexual", you're selling a book about how amazing you are, and people are giving you TV awards.

I mean, seriously, try watching Cuomo being awarded the Emmy and the celebrities drooling all over him

The next minute, you're out of a job and the world has turned against you.

In a statement, the org announced on Tuesday that "in light of the New York Attorney General's report, and Andrew Cuomo's subsequent resignation as Governor, it is rescinding his special 2020 International Emmy Award. His name and any reference to his receiving the award will be eliminated from International Academy materials going forward."

Hopefully no one has taken away his blanket!
