Poor old Delta Airlines. The COVID crisis was bad enough for air travel to begin with, then the scariest, most fearsome variant of the virus had to be named, well, "Delta." They can't catch a break.
Understandably, the company is not quite keen on that name and is taking pains to avoid using it, even when vowing to steeply fine employees who aren't injected with the COVID-19 vaccine:
