Well if this doesn't capture the spirit of Christmas I don't know what can.
Hans Schmidt, the evangelist who was shot in the head while preaching on the street in Glendale Arizona was said to be improving earlier this week.
Then this weekend we saw even better news:
Here's Zulya Schmidt's, Hans' wife, Facebook post:
From Church Leaders:
Hans understands some of what happened to him, but they aren't sure just how much he remembers "because he is unable to communicate at the moment," she said.
To Zulya's knowledge, the police still don't have any leads as to who shot her husband. "I don't even care," she said. "I don't have the energy to really worry about that. Yes, I wish that person wasn't on the street. That would bring me some comfort and peace. But at the same time, it's like the harm as [sic] already been done."
For now, the family has to consider it a Christmas miracle that Hans is awake and alive.
They ask for continual prayers for his recovery!
