Some of you may not know this—because you don't really care—but AOC did not attend President Joe Biden's inauguration. No, it wasn't because Joe is just another corporate Democrat being paid off by China. The congresswoman made the decision to skip out on the inauguration because she is super extra scared of Republicans in Congress.
Yup. That's the reason.
She told Chris Cuomo all about it last week, and I want you to pay close attention to Mr. Cuomo's demeanor, because it seems like he kinda thinks AOC is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. But maybe everybody does by now:
So it sounds like AOC is claiming she skipped the inauguration because some House Republicans are really into guns. Not only that, but these Republican crazies—Rep. Andy Harris and Rep. Lauren Boebert, to name a few—would like to carry guns at the Capitol. That's nuts, AOC might say.
And sure, that might sound nuts….unless you're someone who is old enough to remember that one time when insurrectionists stormed the Capitol looking to cause harm to U.S. Representatives and anyone in their way. Then the whole gun thing doesn't seem so bad.
Even Fredo had to question her here, asking questions like, "You really think that colleagues of yours in congress may do you dirty?" and this gem, "you think they're bringing it in there because they want to protect all of you from insurrectionists like we saw a couple weeks ago, or do you think there really is a chance that you may be the enemy?" AOC didn't really answer the question and just went on to talk more about how scared of guns she is because they're so scary.
And it's obvious AOC has no idea what she's talking about when it comes to guns.
But I'll say this: there's a fundamental difference on the left and the right when it comes to firearms. Democrats see guns as something that hurts and kills people. Republicans see guns as a defense against people who want to hurt or kill you.
That's the difference!
That's it.
Honestly, and it's sad, but we're at a point in history where U.S. citizens are more than willing to harm members of Congress, if not kill them. We all remember back in 2017 when some nutbag shot four people at a congressional baseball practice, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise—who was just one of 24 congressmen present during the shooting. We're lucky nobody died..
So there may actually be a necessity for congress members to pack heat at the Capitol, as strange as it sounds.
And some day one of these guns might be used to save AOC's life.
You never know.
