Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the American face of progress toward utopia, says she's in therapy to help her with the difficult events of the Capitol riot earlier this year:

In that riot, where unarmed dumb-dumbs meandered through the halls of Congress, taking pictures and putting their feet on desks, AOC very nearly avoided certain death.

You know, in her complex more than a block away where she was protected by men with guns who were sworn to take a bullet for her if need be.

But other than that, CERTAIN DEATH!

"Oh yeah, I'm doing therapy but also I've just slowed down," said AOC on the radio show Latino USA on Friday. "I think the Trump administration had a lot of us, especially Latino communities, in a very reactive mode."

AOC claimed that the entire United States was only "60 seconds" from basically implementing The Purge on city streets:

"Pence was the one person, arguably, that had one of the most important roles in making sure that procedurally the Electoral College counts went on as proceeded. Sixty seconds could have meant potentially the difference between what we have right now and a martial state. This was an all-out attempted coup."

I mean, can you imagine what would have happened if that guy had gotten away with the Speaker's podium? Or if that viking dude with the horns had decided to start headbutting the barricades instead of calmly walking around and talking to police?

The entire chain of command of the most powerful nation in human history might have been destroyed!!

Nay, our entire planet might have been consumed in everlasting fire!

If this lunacy wasn't enough, AOC said that Republicans are trying to protect their power by ramping up the racism:

"White supremacy in and of itself is a mythology and you have to protect it in order to protect that political power, which has now become a very important base in the Republican party."

I thought of a better way to say this, but really, the ultimate question is how stupid and ignorant you really have to be to believe this.

The worst thing, however, was AOC's claim that lawmakers "served in war" during the Capitol riot.

AOC had to sit in a climate-controlled office far away from the Capitol break-in, protected by security forces.

The American soldiers fighting on Iwo Jima lost 30,000 men who, as Lincoln might say, "gave the last full measure of devotion" in order to plant this flag:

For wealthy, pampered politicians to suggest a comparison is disrespectful in the highest order.

Good job, Comrade Cortez!
