If ever you think you're neglected at work, be grateful that it's not this bad:
Wells Fargo employee who died at a Tempe office wasn't found until days later, authorities say.
According to Tempe police, 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme, who worked at the Wells Fargo corporate office near Priest Drive and Washington Street, scanned into work on Aug. 16 at 7 a.m. However, four days later, on Aug. 20, Tempe authorities then responded to the location for reports about a 'subject down.'
Security at the building found Prudhomme dead inside the building, days after she clocked in. Authorities say no signs of foul play were found.
Other news reports say that a colleague found her, and that "several people [had] smelled a foul odor but passed it off as faulty plumbing." The building is supposed to have 24/7 security and monitoring, which begs the question of how a dead body was missed.
The woman's desk was reportedly "on the third floor and away from the main aisle." Most of the employees in the division allegedly work remotely.
Here's the question we're of course all wondering:
'It's really heartbreaking and I'm thinking, "What if I were just sitting there?'" a worker said. 'No one would check on me?'
Sad stuff.
