A's fans are extremely dissatisfied with their baseball team and it's easy to see why.
Ticket prices are up, the team is an absolute embarrassment, and now ownership is threatening to move the organization to Vegas. It seems owner John Fisher is just in it for the money, and that doesn't sit well with the Oakland fan base, who showed up en masse to have their voices heard on Tuesday night.
Watch this:
Let's see that from the fans' perspective, shall we?
You see all those "SELL" T-shirts?!?!
These fans are not messing around, and they sure as heck don't want to lose another professional sports team to Las Vegas like they did with the Raiders.
Take a look at these attendance numbers, keeping in mind that this was a Tuesday night.
A season-best crowd of 27,759 was the largest for an A's game since they drew 33,654 against the Dodgers on Aug. 7, 2018.
Now that's a protest!
Let's hear what some of the fans had to say about it.
"Would you keep going to a restaurant that serving you crap food? I mean, you know, give us a good team, give us a good product."
Yeah man, I think it's time for John Fisher to sell the team and give the fans what they want. It's not always about the money.
On the bright side, the A's have now won 7 straight, which is at least something for a team with a lousy 19-50 record.
You love to see it!
However, if the fans want the team to stay, they might want to avoid trashing the stadium…
Not a good look.
This is quite a development out in Oakland, and we'll keep an eye on this as the season progresses and ownership looks east toward Sin City.
