The Ringo Starr of AOC's Squad, Ayanna Pressley, decided it would be a good idea to tweet this out today:

Because, I guess, everything that Representative Pressley doesn't like is now Jim Crow.

Of course, the filibuster has absolutely nothing to do with Jim Crow. There's not even a tenuous connection between the two things. If you want to know about the history of the filibuster, FEE has a good short history on it.

The Squad and the Left are able to find racism under every rock and behind every tree. But right-wing Twitter is not going to let Ringo get away with this one.

"Everything that offends me is racist" is a terrible and ridiculous way to go through life.

Some are pointing out that this game has been played before, and she is going to regret this if it happens again.
