It's time to stop your doomscrolling and get a dose of this beautiful news.
Nathaniel Flores, a boy born at 26 weeks gestation, is finally going home after a 419-day stay in the hospital.
Nathaniel was born 3.5 months premature by cesarean section. He was less than one pound and his lungs were underdeveloped. The entire hospital staff fought for his life for almost 2 years.
His mother, Sandya Flores told her story on Good Morning America:
There have been tons of tears in every hospital that we've been in, but he's also a joy. For every bad moment, there's a good moment, and it makes us super appreciative of him.
The parents said that Nathaniel is a "feisty ball of energy" and confidently walked into his home for the first time like he lived there all along.
Life is beautiful, and 100% worth fighting for.
