Let us please take a moment to watch the beautiful work of these based French farmers:
Yeeeeah, baby! Now, that is what I am talkin' about.
I don't think I've ever seen anything so poetic as farmers dumping manure on a government building.
This beautiful demonstration is taking place in front of the DDTM (Direction Départementale des Territoires) buildings in Quimper, symbolizing a widespread disdain for the government's attempts to undermine their businesses through taxation and regulations.
Today was a big day for French farmers.
These protests are mainly about farmers demanding fewer government restrictions for farming - climate policies especially have hurt farmers across Europe, to the point where it's actually cheaper in some cases to import food across the ocean.
(Planet saved, right?)
These protests involve a host of farmers affiliated with the Young Farmers of Brittany and the Departmental Federation of Farmers' Unions (FDSEA), targeting regional institutions that included the Regional Council of Brittany in Rennes, the DDTM buildings in Quimper, and the prefecture of Vannes.
Although these protests have caused significant transport disruptions, there have been no severe and hostile confrontations between the protesters and police.
The main point: Let the farmers do their thing!
