"Batman" showing in Texas interrupted by actual bat that somehow made its way into the theater

Thinking about going to see the new "Batman" movie?

You likely won't have as authentic of an experience as these people down in Austin did:

Yup, that's a real-life bat just casually flying around the theater...

During a showing of "The Batman."

Shoulda brought that batarang after all.

This happened on Friday night, and while management made several attempts to get the bat out of the theater, they were ultimately unsuccessful.

The theater did offer a refund to all viewers, but most everyone just decided to stick around and watch the rest of the movie with their new friend.

Cheers to that!

I mean, it's just a bat.

Get this: the theater has reason to believe this was a stunt pulled off by one of the moviegoers.

The theater told KXAN they believe "a guest tried to pull a prank."

They say animal control was "immediately contacted" and has been overseeing the situation.

"To ensure a prank like this does not again occur, we will be adding additional security and checking all bags upon guest entry," Heidi Deno, the general manager, told KXAN.

Dang, that's pretty harsh.

If this was a prank, dude just ruined this theater for everyone.

Thanks a lot, bro.
