Axios reported an exclusive story on Tuesday about Jake Tapper's upcoming book Original Sin, which details the massive effort to hide President Biden's failing health (which Axios and Jake Tapper themselves participated in).
According to the CNN host, aides were so concerned about Biden's condition that they secretly discussed getting a wheelchair for his second term.
The book says:
Biden's physical deterioration — most apparent in his halting walk — had become so severe that there were internal discussions about putting the president in a wheelchair, but they couldn't do so until after the election.
The book further details "increasing fears after he tripped over a sandbag at the Air Force Academy in June 2023."
