This has to be one of the strangest exchanges I've ever seen with Joe Biden.

Reporter: You're not attending [Pope Benedict XVI's] funeral tomorrow, though. Why?

Biden: Well why do you think?

Reporter: You tell me.

Biden: You know why.

And it is at this point the reporter missed the most golden opportunity of a lifetime.

If this had been Harris Rigby and Biden answered like this, I would have guessed why.

Me: Why aren't you going to the Vatican for the Pope's funeral?

Biden: Well, why do you think?

Me: You tell me!

Biden: You know why!

Me: Is it because you pooped your pants last time you were there and they won't let you back?

What a missed opportunity.

I'd get in the way.

Trust me, Joe. You wouldn't get in the way.

The second Catholic president of the United States refusing to attend the funeral of a former Pope? That's more disruptive than being there.

The reality is that "Devout Catholic" Joe Biden doesn't care about Benedict's passing. Benedict was a conservative who wouldn't approve of Biden's baby-murdering politics.
