President Joe Biden had a cheery jobs report for us today ๐
The Washington Examiner reported on all the warm hope and unity regarding the state of the economy that emanated from between the capped teeth of our drowsy POTUS:
"We're going to be talking about the recovery package, but you saw the jobs report. Only 6,000 private-sector jobs have been created," Biden told reporters in the Oval Office as he convened with Democratic House leaders and Vice President Kamala Harris. "At that rate, it's going to take 10 years before we get to full employment."
Aww, he's probably just saying that, right? Just exaggerating a little.
"That's not hyperbole. That's a fact," he added. "We're going to be in a situation where it takes a long, long time."
Oh ๐ณ
"One thing we learned is we can't do too much here. We can do too little," he said. "We can do too little and sputter."
Yeah, it's the what we do that I'm concerned about though.
If only there was something we could do to stimulate the economy. Or some way to get people back to work whose businesses and places of employment have been shut down by government-mandated lockdowns, and onerous and arbitrary regulations.
If we could just think hard enough, I know we could come up with an answer ๐ค
