Gaze once more, my friends, upon the half-covered face of uNiTy:
"The last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking," Biden said about Mississippi and Texas for lifting their Rona restrictions.
Here was the epic response from Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves:
Reeves is right on the money here. Removing government mandates does not mean you have to stop wearing a mask or washing your hands, Grandpa Joe. Despite how stupid our government handlers believe we are, your average citizen knows how to make decisions for themselves and their families. The point is that you get to decide how to assess your own health and risks, like you do every time you get in the dang car or do anything anywhere at any time.
Before lockdowns even happened last spring, Americans were limiting their travel. Apart from government orders, people were social distancing, thinking through remote work options, and washing their hands.
As for Biden's sCiEnCe, note that he touched his mask four times while giving this 90-second lecture on said sCienCe.
Here's the deal: the political left believes you're a Neanderthal. They think you're a dumb, deplorable hick who's going to start licking doorknobs the second the mandates lift.
Conservatives believe you can "assess [your] choices and listen to experts," and that "we should trust Americans, not insult them."
I know which perspective I'd rather live under.
