In most cases, when a candidate's party controls the White House, it's viewed as an asset to be used effectively during campaign seasons. But when Joe Biden controls the White House, he's apparently little more than a major handicap for Democrats:
Virginia gubernatorial Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe cast President Joe Biden and his party's lawmakers in Congress as a liability in the final weeks of the campaign, with polls showing a tightening race.
"We are facing a lot of headwinds from Washington," McAuliffe, a former head of the Democratic National Committee, said during a virtual rally with supporters Tuesday. "As you know, the president is unpopular today, unfortunately, here in Virginia, so we've got to plow through."
Okay, sometimes you just gotta laugh:
I mean, it's just poetically beautiful. Democrats spent five years insisting that Trump was Adolf Hitler and Idi Amin and Kim Il-Sung all rolled up into one, a trope they deployed to arguably successful results at both the federal and state levels. Yet the guy they manage to replace him with is now hobbling them not even nine months since his inauguration.
It couldn't have happened to a nicer party!
