Biden Just Said If You Don't Support Federalizing Elections You're Siding With George Wallace ... The Guy He Used To Brag About
· Jan 12, 2022 · NottheBee.com

Yesterday, Joe Biden visited Atlanta to pump up his voting rights legislation, which would, essentially, make the rules of the dubious 2020 election permanent.

In his speech, as reported by NPR, Biden invoked George Wallace when talking about his opponents.

"How do you want to be remembered," Biden said, squaring off famous human rights champions against pro-segregation and anti-American activists: "Do you want to be on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis? This is the moment to decide. To defend our elections, to defend our democracy."

George Wallace was the Governor of Alabama for a very long time and is best known for being a staunch segregationist.

Here's your reminder that Joe Biden is really, really, really old. He's a Democrat that is old enough to have met George Wallace and be in the same Democrat party with him. He entered the Senate in 1972 at age 30, after all!

Not only that, but his past statements about Wallace have not been quite as critical, as Ben Shapiro has beautifully pointed out.

The image Shapiro tweeted came from a National Review article a couple years ago, here's the text:

But since Obama brought it up, it's worth noting that the only person in modern American politics to have repeatedly praised Wallace and other segregationists is Joe Biden. It was Biden who bragged that in 1973 Wallace considered him "one of the outstanding young politicians of America." It was Biden who wrote in 1975 that the "Democratic Party could stand a liberal George Wallace." It was Biden who in 1981 told a black witness in the Senate that "sometimes even George Wallace is right." It was Biden who, while campaigning for the presidency in Alabama in 1987, claimed that he'd been the recipient of an award from Wallace in 1973 (it probably wasn't true; but what a thing to brag about!), and then boasted that Delaware was "on the South's side in the Civil War."

Joe Biden has been a Democrat long enough that when he was a younger senator it was considered a good thing to be associated with George Wallace. And he was happy to do so if it would get him votes.

He even bragged about receiving an award from George Wallace that there's no proof that he won.

A liar then and a liar now.

This may not prove anything other than the fact that Joe Biden is the slimiest of the slimy politicians.

But this level of hypocrisy is so delicious.
