This may sound like a Babylon Bee headline, but it's not satire.

I'm guessing you didn't watch Biden's speech last night, so I'll give you a little here.

Our wonderful president even tweeted something similar:

See how he makes it sound all warm and fuzzy?

It almost sounds like all the Covid talk from a few years back.

Too bad most Americans can see right through it.

Here's the fine print for ya.

During the same speech:

Biden called for banning semi-automatic long guns, which are extremely popular in the United States, banning what he claimed were "high-capacity magazines," enacting red flag laws that strip Americans of due process, and going after gun manufacturers.

"We need to ban assault weapons and high capacity magazines," Biden said. "And if we can't ban assault weapons, then we should raise the age to purchase them from 18 to 21, strengthen the background checks."

Not about taking people's rights away, huh?

Cuz that sounds an awful lot like taking people's rights away.

These elitists will take advantage of any and all crises in order to push their agenda.

But just because some old fart behind a podium phrases things in sunshine and lollipops and says he's not taking away anyone's rights doesn't mean we're going to fall for it.

Do better, Dems.
