Instead of dealing with the border issue personally, President Biden (the lesser-known half of the Biden-Harris administration) put his second-in-command in charge of the situation:
Biden doesn't seem to be straying too far from his bed these days – and certainly not to a crisis zone.
It's okay though, because CNN has informed me that Biden is a peak physical specimen who is sharp as a tack.
After his low-energy announcement, Biden summarily lost his train of thought and a staffer asked the press to leave without taking questions.
Again. For like the hundredth time in three months.

One thing I note every time this happens is that Biden just seems to shut down. He's just sitting there, breathing in and out into his mask – eyes wide open like a deer in headlights.
I don't want Joe Biden to be suffering from cognitive decline. But when that look flashes across his face – a look I often saw in the elderly residents of the nursing home my wife worked at – I cringe.
Even if he's planning a radical, unconstitutional makeover of America, he's still the leader of the country. Having him unfit for office only benefits those who would use him for their own ends.
