For an unknown reason, the Washington Monument went dark Sunday night and people had some thoughts about it.

One Twitter commenter noted that the entire National Mall was having issues as well.

I heard on CNN last week that those lights on the Mall were "extensions of Joe Biden's arms embracing America."

I guess that embrace is falling a bit short, eh?
