Before we begin, just a friendly reminder:
Biden has repeatedly said that he will not raise taxes on anyone making under $400,000 a year, which is especially important since his economic policies have driven up prices beyond what many people can afford.
Here are the receipts:
On the campaign trail, he called this a "guarantee" and a "promise":
Now to today:
Here's the PDF from the Joint Committee on Taxation that details how much you would be paying if the "Inflation Reduction Act" is passed β a retooled mini-version of Biden's "Build Back Better" mess that aims to fight inflation by, yep, spending more money.

You may be thinking, "Oh, I make $40,000 a year and my taxes would only increase from 10.4% to 10.5%. That isn't bad. Stop complaining!"
The extra $40 isn't the point.
Neither is the extra $100 that a family making $100,000 will pay.
The point is this:
- "Nobody earning less than $400,000 a year would pay a single additional penny in taxes."
- "No one making under $400,000 will see their federal taxes go up. Period."
- "Under my plan, nobody earning less than $400,000 a year will pay an additional penny in new taxes. Not a single penny."
- "Nobody making less than $400,000 a year will pay a penny more in tax under my proposal. That's a guarantee, a promise."
A promise broken is a promise broken.
Women, if you found out your husband went on a romantic date with a friend of yours, would you be okay with it if he assured you that they didn't even kiss?
So why would you trust a corrupt 50-year politician β especially when he says he's for the poor but keeps helping the rich?
Oh, you don't think he's lying? Then why did he repeat the claim this weekend after the new legislation was made public?
If they come for a few extra bucks now, what's stopping them from taxing you harder after this Inflation Reduction Act makes inflation even worse?
