The great Jedi sage Yoda once wisely advised his padawan: "Do or do not. There is no try."
Apparently this Israeli snake took that approach when he saw a hedgehog and was like, "Okay Imma do that."
A black whipsnake met its end after attempting to swallow a hedgehog whole in the heart of the central Israeli town of Shoham. Unfortunately, the hedgehog didn't survive the encounter either.
It was just a bad day for both of them. Earlier this month, some passerby stumbled upon the bizarre, grisly scene and called a local nature authority, Aviad Bar, to the scene.
Bar put on his Sherlock Holmes hat and deduced what happened based on the evidence: "From analyzing the situation ... it seems that the snake tried to eat the hedgehog. However, as soon as it decided to abandon its unconventional meal, it became clear that it had made a grave error."
Snake eating that hedgehog like:
"The hedgehog's sharp quills prevented the snake from releasing its prey, resulting in a tragic ending for both the snake and the hedgehog."
This incident happened the week before Hamas terrorists parachuted into Israel and slaughtered over 1,200 Israelis - mostly civilians.
However, like the snake, it seems they bit off a heck of a lot more than they could chew.
The difference is that Hamas failed to kill the "hedgehog."
