Boom! Ted Cruz Has Just Introduced Legislation To Send Illegal Immigrants To Martha's Vineyard And "Other Democrat-Led Communities"

Sometimes Ted Cruz reveals himself to be the master troll in the United States Senate.

Ted Cruz has introduced the Stop the Surge Act which would create 13 new ports of entry across the US in Democrat-led cities which support the open borders policy of the Biden Administration.

Here's an excerpt from Cruz's statement:

As Texas Border Patrol Sectors are flooded with historic numbers of illegal aliens pouring into the country, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, today introduced the Stop the SURGE Act to demand President Biden, his administration, and Congressional Democrats address the unprecedented man-made crisis on the South Texas border and their political decisions that directly created it. This legislation would establish new ports of entry in 13 communities across the country and mandate that all illegal aliens encountered at Border Patrol Sectors in Texas be transferred to these new ports for processing. The legislation would provide much needed relief to Border Patrol and local law enforcement who have been stretched beyond capacity at the Texas border, and require insulated communities to help shoulder the burdens of their preferred open-border policies.

Cruz wants Democrats to put their money where their mouth is. If they favor open borders so much, how would they feel if the immigrants flooding the country weren't held in Texas or Republican states, but were instead in their own backyards?

Surely the party of diversity and inclusion, the pro-immigrant party, would be fine with this.

The act specifically lists out the cities where Cruz suggests the new ports of entry be placed.

The Stop the SURGE Act, or Stop the Surge of Unsafe Rio Grande Encampments Act, would relocate illegal immigrants from South Texas to newly established ports of entry for processing under the Immigration & Naturalization Act (Title 8) and Public Health Service Act (Title 42), including:

  • Block Island, R.I.
  • Greenwich, Conn.
  • Martha's Vineyard, Mass.
  • Cambridge, Mass.
  • Governors Island, N.Y.
  • Rehoboth Beach, Del.
  • Nantucket, Mass.
  • Newport, R.I.
  • Scarsdale, N.Y.
  • Palo Alto, Calif.
  • Yountville, Calif.
  • St. Helena, Calif.
  • North Hero, Vt.

I'm sure the residents, or part-time residents, of Martha's Vineyard, will have no problem hosting new immigrants to the United States. The Democrats in Rhode Island will welcome their new guests with open arms, right? Right?

Of course not. And that's the point. Cruz will continue to point out this hypocrisy and make the Democrats reveal themselves as elitists.

Good for him.
