Five people all from Scarborough, ranging in age from 29 years old to 45 years old, with the same last name, were found at scene and arrested without incident.
"From Scarborough."
Everybody was charged with robbery with theft and mischief under $5,000.
Not as cool as "everybody was kung-fu fighting," but okay.
The accused have all been released from police custody and are scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in London on February 26, 2026, to speak to the charges.
The Wingham Free Press was a bit more detailed:
Five individuals were located at scene and were placed under arrest without incident.
As a result, Devangkumar PATEL, a 33-year-old, Yogeshkumar PATEL, a 45-year-old, Bhavinkumar PATEL, a 38-year-old, Mitulkumar PATEL, a 38-year-old and Ricky PATEL, a 29-year-old, all of Scarborough, have been charged under the Criminal Code...
Scarborough is 76.6% non-white, with 33% of the population coming from South Asia and 20% coming from China, in addition to 12% from the Philippines and 13% who are black.
In 2022, two other "Scarborough men" named Abdulhai Patel and Muhsin Sufi made headlines when they were arrested for violent kidnapping and robbery in the city.
In 2025, a bunch of "youths" likewise shot up a pub with pistols and a mini-Draco!
Seems like a nice town!
