Ladies and gentlemen, the greatest threat to women's sports seems to be ... white California moms.

I'm going to give those women the benefit of the doubt and say they were extending a hearty "bleep you" to the woman taking the video, not the girls who were gathered to stand up for Title IX protections.

The incident took place at Valencia High School in Placentia, California. CIF, the interscholastic governing body for student athletics in the state, threatened the Valencia Tigers with consequences, including being barred from next year's playoffs, if they forfeited the game in protest of the male athlete.

Instead, the team came up with the idea to have two players opt out and stand on the sidelines as a statement.

If you need a visual to understand why they are protesting, watch the opposing team's male player spike the ball:

In 2022, a female student in Murphy, North Carolina, suffered horrific injuries when a boy on an opposing female team spiked the ball into her face.

McNabb had the chance to share her story before Congress earlier this year:

Those girls wearing the "Protect Girls' Sports" shirts don't just mean it metaphorically. Title IX exists to protect girls. Period.
