THE HECK? California woman allegedly steals 65 Stanley cups worth $2,500
· Jan 22, 2024 · NottheBee.com

Dude, what's the big deal with these Stanley cups?

Like, I know they're all the rage right now, but it seems women have taken it a bit too far. First it was camping out overnight outside Target for the release of a special edition Stanley cup, and that was fine. But now we got stuff like this:

65 Stanley cups!!!

A $2,500 value (yes, these cups go for around $45 a pop).

And this lady thought she would just prance on out of the store with them in her cart.

Seriously, what is going on with this Stanley cup craze?

Police in Roseville, Placer County, northeast of Sacramento, said Sunday that they were called to a reported theft from a store on Stanford Ranch Road in the city on January 17.

"Staff saw a woman take a shopping cart full of Stanley water bottles without paying for them. The suspect refused to stop for staff and stuffed her car with the stolen merchandise," police said in a statement on Facebook.

"An officer spotted the suspect vehicle as it entered Highway 65 from Galleria Blvd and initiated a traffic stop," the statement said.

The so-far unnamed woman, 23, from Sacramento, was arrested for grand theft. Pictures released by police show her car trunk and passenger seat stuffed with a variety of cups.

Look at all those cups!

This is how desperate we are for a $45 cup, people!

She'd have kept a few for herself and likely offered the others at a discount on Ebay or something. And she'd have sold out of the cups in no time!

Thank goodness for the police response here, or else I bet she'd try it again at another store.

Ladies, can I ask: When are we gonna be done with this nonsense?

I mean, it's a flippin' cup, get over it!
