Canada Day Protests In Manitoba Ends In Queen Statues Being Toppled While Police Stand By And Watch

"Say their names, eh!"

Our neighbors to the north, normally known for being polite and non-confrontational, have bucked their image by turning to utter lawlessness and chaos.

Yesterday, a protest in Canada ended with two statues toppled at the Manitoba legislature while police were nowhere to be found while the criminal mob vandalize public property.

The first video is of protestors bringing down a statue of Queen Victoria and the second video shows the mob tearing down a smaller statue of Queen Elizabeth II.

The protests were ostensibly about the Every Child Matters Walk, a remembrance event for indigenous people in Canada.

Now before you get upset with law enforcement, the CBC did report that there was a law enforcement presence at the event:

Police shocked a man with a stun gun and arrested him while others lobbed objects their way and yelled profanities after a crowd pulled down a prominent statue of Queen Victoria on the Manitoba Legislature grounds on Thursday.

The circumstances of the arrest remain unclear. It's possible the arrested man was angry at those who had pulled the statue down at around 4 p.m. CT.

The crowd on the grounds was largely peaceful prior to the man's arrest more than an hour later, in which police had to push a throng back to take him into custody.

A Winnipeg police spokesperson declined immediate comment, saying there may be information forthcoming on Friday.

See! One person was arrested. But apparently the man who was stun-gunned by police was not one of the vandals, but it was a man who showed up to the protest upset that the statue had been pulled down.

So, instead of siding with law and order it appears the police in Canada decided to side with the mob and arrested a man who was actively being attacked by the mob.

And don't you just love the state media spin?

The crowd on the grounds was largely peaceful prior to the man's arrest more than an hour later, in which police had to push a throng back to take him into custody.

The crowd that just tore down a statue that has stood more than 100 years was "largely peaceful."

Now where have I heard that one before?

Mobs tearing down statues, police siding with the mob, media covering for the band of criminals. Society is headed downhill, and it appears that there is no slowing down.
