Am I reading that right?
16-2 Canada?!?!
In a world juniors hockey tournament?
I honestly can't tell if this is just really embarrassing for the Germans or if I should go pat all 10 Canadian goal-scorers on the back right now. I guess I can't though because the tournament is being held in a bubble up in Edmonton.
After all was said and done, 17 Canadians made the score sheet on Saturday.
SEVENTEEN!
That means only three of Canada's 20 skaters failed to score a point (in hockey you get a point for an assist, too, by the way).
10 different players put one in the net for Team Canada. Dylan Cozens scored a hat trick AND picked up three assists, while his teammates Dawson Mercer, Peyton Krebs, Alex Newhook, and Philip Tomasino all scored twice.
What was this, a practice game?
(It kinda was tho)
Here's the highlight:
Look out for Team Canada!
My money, of course, is on the boys wearing red, white, and blue, who shut out Austria on Saturday 11-0, which was nearly as impressive as Canada's victory.
