Oh man you know it's bad when the regime's puppet show went so sideways that the leader of Canada's House of Commons is stepping down and they might deport the "hero" they just honored post haste.
I reiterate my profound regret for my error in recognizing an individual in the House.

Was it Rota's error? It was PM Trudeau's office who reportedly vetted the man, Yaroslav Hunka, who fought in the volunteer force of Hitler's Waffen-SS in the 14th Galician division.
Rota merely brought Hunka up as the next agenda item.
Consider this Facebook post by the former Nazi's granddaughter, Theresa Hunka, who indicated her grandfather met Trudeau and Zelensky personally.

Life comes at you fast. One minute you're a guy who got to have it all: Serving in Hitler's SS, coming to the New World for a second chance, being honored with thunderous applause, meeting multiple world leaders in lavish state buildings ...
... and the next you've caused a major government shakeup and the Poles want you to be tried for war crimes.
"In view of the scandalous events in the Canadian Parliament, which involved honoring, in the presence of President Zelenskyy, a member of the criminal Nazi SS Galizien formation, I have taken steps towards the possible extradition of this man to Poland," said Poland's Education Minister Przemysลaw Czarnek.

Did Hunka commit war crimes? No idea. The Galician division wasn't generally involved in the larger atrocities, but they certainly had the same bloodlust. A lot of young men fought for Hitler - this guy Hunka may have been one of the ones duped and has changed his life around in the 80 years since.
But if so, why would he be proud of being honored for fighting the Russians? It makes one think.
Anyway, chalk this up as another embarrassment for Canada under Trudeau. I think more citizens would hide their heads in shame if they weren't working three jobs to try to afford food there.
