He was always a step or two ahead of her, almost as if he could anticipate her every move, but then he made his fatal mistake.
Excessive attention to personal grooming.
I'm pretty sure that's what brought Capone down.
For two days the vehicle's rightful owner, Bianca Chambers, tracked the vehicle.
Detroit Police say officers responded four times to Bianca's 911 calls as she tracked the car using a web of social media tips. But by the time they got there, the car was gone.
Bianca Chambers is not easily discouraged, she kept at it.
Bianca Chambers said for two days, she tracked her car throughout the city until Wednesday when the man parked her car and went to get his hair done.
"He's at 7 Days West, getting his dreds twisted," she said in a Facebook live while watching her car.
That's when she confronted him.
Chambers wasn't playing, either. She slashed her own tires to make sure he couldn't get away this time.
Customers then stepped in to make a citizen's arrest while Bianca, sick of seeing him drive off in her car, slashed her own tires! Then she called the police.
"I slashed all the tires and I thought that he was gonna take off and I didn't know how long it was going to take for the police to pull up. And I refused to let him pull off again," she said
Here's the insane video (major language warning), timestamped where the action starts:
There was one happy upside, despite the fact that the Keyser Söze wannabe and his buddies had been smoking, the car was very clean overall.
And why was it so clean? He got it detailed.
I come away from this with three observations:
1) Do not mess with Bianca Chambers' Benz.
2) When you steal a car, maybe not something as showy as a Benz next time.
3) His mug shot must have been spectacular.
