You guys are never going to believe this, but since the government is shut down and national parks are free-of-charge to enter, Americans are now entering those parks to do fun things without government permission.
And they're also doing fun, illegal things like car-camping, base jumping, and using drones.
And hiking Half Dome without permits???
But that's dangerous!
Who knew that when the government shut down people could go out and do fun things like this and not have to worry about somebody breathing down their neck about it?

Even with the federal government shut down, national parks are still wide open, but most of the staff is furloughed, which may embolden thrill-seekers ...
We started seeing people base jumping, and not the typical crack-of-dawn, do it quick and then run away, but middle of the day and just walking off without any concerns.
Yeah, uhh, this comment is all that matters here:
Man, we should do this government shutdown stuff more often!
