In Jacksonville they love the governor.

The band Van Zant, which is led by Johnny and Donnie Van Zant, the brothers of Lynyrd Skynyrd's late lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, has released a song called "Sweet Florida" which is an unapologetic anthem to Florida freedom and the man in charge, Ron DeSantis.

Listen:

It's no Sweet Home Alabama, but it's not a bad tune!

This second verse and the chorus is just gold:

You can take it to the bank, he don't care what Brandon thinks at the White House

Yeah, he's fighting for the right to keep our state free

Well, he's taking on the swamp and he's callin' out Dr. Fauci (Fauciiii)

He's the only one fightin' for you and me (you and me)

Yeah, we're free!

Down in Sweet Florida

Our governor he's red, white and blue

Down in Sweet Florida

He's shootin' us straight, tellin' us the truth

Here's website for this song:

Rock on Governor, rock on!
