Chinese zoogoers were not fooled by these "pandas"
· May 7, 2024 · NottheBee.com

Remember when China started taking back their pandas from the Western nations' zoos?

Well, it looks like they still don't have enough, cuz check out these "pandas" zoogoers were greeted with when they visited the Taizhou Zoo in Jiangsu Province this week.

FAKE PANDAS!

The fake pandas, unveiled May 1 at the Taizhou Zoo in Jiangsu Province, were actually Chow Chow dogs — a big-haired breed from Northern China, Jam Press reported.

They then put the so-called 'panda dogs' on display in an enclosure every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., attracting throngs of people despite the obvious bamboo-zlement, per the sanctuary's staffers.

When asked why they had the canines engage in panda cosplay, a rep explained, 'There are no panda bears at the zoo and we wanted to do this as a result.'

The low-hanging fruit of an identifies-as joke is entering my mindspace, and I can't help but think these Chow Chow dogs present themselves better as pandas than some men do as women these days. Sorry, but it's true.

In summary, these dogs look nothing like pandas and everyone with a pair of eyes can tell they're canines. Little baby canines.

It's a scam and I want my money back!

Before I go, I think I found a solution to this fake panda problem, courtesy of the account Midnight Mitch:
