Chris Christie files paperwork to run for president
· Jun 6, 2023 · NottheBee.com

Chris Christie, former New Jersey governor and early Trump buddy turned bitter foe, has submitted his paperwork to run for president as a Republican in 2024.

Christie, 60, is expected to formally announce that he's seeking the White House again at a town hall event this evening in New Hampshire. His strategy is to run "a non-traditional campaign that is highly focused on earned media, mixing it up in the news cycle and engaging Trump," an adviser told Axios.

The failed 2016 candidate is a vocal critic of former President Trump and "the Republican Party moving on from Trump" is a staple of his platform.

In a nutshell, Christie's candidacy is good for Trump (criticism just gives him more power), bad for DeSantis (any new GOP candidates are), entirely expected, and already baked in.

We'll keep watch and let you know if he makes a big splash (sorry).
