Chris Wallace out at CNN, will explore new platforms like streaming, podcasting

It looks like Chris Wallace might be done with fake news.

Wallace, who "debated" Donald Trump in 2020 while still at Fox News, signed a three-year contract with CNN back in 2021, and will now walk away from the network without renegotiating that contract.

The veteran anchor says he feels "liberated" having a break from the media, telling CNN, "This is the first time in 55 years I've been between jobs."

Not only is he leaving CNN, the fakest of the fake news, but he seems to be done with old media as a whole.

Good for you, Chris Wallace.

Good for you.

Anyone in their right mind can see that old media is dying, so add Wallace to the list of former mainstream CNN sweethearts like Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, and Carol Castello who have switched to new media.

CNN chief executive Mark Thompson had this to say:

Chris Wallace is one of the most respected political journalists in the news business with a unique track record across radio, print, broadcast television, cable television and streaming. We want to thank him for the dedication and wisdom he's brought to all his work at CNN and to wish him the very best for the future.

Best of luck to Chris Wallace on his journey into real news.
