Oregon man Shane Reimche is grateful to be alive.

He was walking into a QuickTrips Neighborhood Market in Eugene, Oregon, when literally the last thing you would expect happened:

Reimche had just walked through the door of the convenience store when he heard a loud noise and saw the 4-foot blade rolling straight toward him!

The blade sliced into the doorframe where he had just been standing, shaking the entire building.

Obviously it wasn't my time, but it's probably the closest I've ever experienced.

Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of the runaway saw blade.

The contractor who lost the blade has been removed from the construction project while an investigation into the incident is underway.
