CNN tried to show how bad Uganda's "anti-gay" laws are and got the most brutal Community Note for their trouble
· Aug 30, 2023 · NottheBee.com

Yesterday, CNN jumped at a chance to show just how evil the Christian government in Uganda is after they charged two separate people with their new laws against "aggravated homosexuality" which CNN calls "controversial" and "anti-gay."

The headline tells one story: Evil Christians prosecute gay men in an unfair and hateful act.

It's clear what CNN was trying to do.

That's when reality stepped in.

Check out this community note:

One man in the story raped a disabled man, the other raped a child.

CNN says prosecuting rapists is anti-gay?

Uganda is using its new harsh law to make an example of people who would rape minors and disabled people and CNN is STILL calling the law "anti-gay."

CNN was rightfully ratio'd to heck and back for this truly horrendous take.

I guess we need to tap both signs for this one!

I know they aren't capable, but the folks at CNN ought to feel ashamed.
