CNN runs sympathy piece for family that has to "flee" Florida because they want to transition their child

Those evil Florida Republicans and that Florida Man Bad! People are having to FLEE the state because, well, they can't legally mutilate their children.

Here, CNN plays a sympathy piece for the family of a "trans" child, a teenage boy who thinks he's a girl, and how the family has to leave the state so that he can transition to another gender.

(Even though we're told that this doesn't happen to kids.)

I just never thought I would have to flee a state for the good of my children.

I don't know if we could be any more melodramatic.

Now, if you had to flee California because the state will take away your child for refusing to mutilate their genitals, I'd get it. But this is a parent wanting to "flee" Florida so that they can mutilate their child's sex organs.

It's a little different.

Notice how the wife does pretty much ALL of the talking while the husband sits there impotent and quiet. He may as well not be there at all. She is totally in control of this family.

Just saying, that might have something to do with their son "transitioning."

When the Florida board of medicine started meeting and we realized that they were going to ban gender affirming care for our kids, that we might need to leave. Because that is life-saving essential medicine and treatment for our daughter.

Yes, cross-sex hormones and sex change operations are now "lifesaving."

Mutilating your child = saving their life in leftist Lala land.

Here's Tori, the young boy who has convinced himself that he's a girl.

I didn't even really know that much about trans people. Until I was like 11 or 12 years I didn't know trans people existed... I started hormone blockers pretty soon after that.

So, this is a young man who has been blocking natural testosterone for AT LEAST 4 or 5 years and has fully convinced himself that he's a girl.

And now because Florida recognizes this is INSANE and kids should never be so abused, they have to flee the state.

The dad does finally chime in to say, essentially, that he went along with the treatments because he was convinced it was either that or suicide. A manipulation tactic often used against parents who are hesitant to go along with the trans nonsense.

"Would you rather have a dead son or a living daughter?" the manipulative therapists, doctors, and activists say to guilt parents.

And, unfortunately, that works.

The parents then have the gall to say they're worried about mean Floridians wanting to hurt their "daughter" who is actually their son as if their embracing of the trans delusion could be topped in terms of harm.

They want to let their son chemically castrate and sterilize himself, and anyone who opposes it is "dangerous."

I have plenty more thoughts on this, but I'll turn it over to the comment section to rip this apart.

And here are some great reactions that really highlight that, as sad as this is for this one kid, it's really a good thing for states to draw clear boundaries:

Conservative states: Pass conservative law and make the commies so uncomfortable they leave.

There's no shortage of sane people wanting to move INTO Florida.
