I did not think I'd get my daily whitepill, my dose of optimism, from CNN today, but we definitely got it here.
We are entering a new era. And, no, it's not because Donald Trump and MAGA are "toxic" like the NeoCons and "expert class" tell you.
MAGA is all about winning hearts and minds.
Donald Trump and the Republicans have re-made the electorate ... There are more Republicans in the electorate than there are Democrats ... so Donald Trump and the Republicans have remade the electorate ... all of a sudden you get a winning recipe whereby you break the rules of normal politics and get Donald Trump that positive net approval rating when he had a pretty much consistently negative one in term number one.
Yep, Trump took a cue from Sinatra, no doubt.
Trump doesn't play by the rules. He doesn't listen when pundits say he's going to "alienate" the female vote, or offend the minority vote, or offend our allies with tariffs.
He doesn't care about any of that, he just does what it takes to win.
