Coast Guard + good Samaritan rescue 18 people stranded on Lake Erie after ice floe breaks off from Ohio coast

Well this is intense:

"They were pretty lucky, you see, a Coast Guard helicopter from Detroit happened to be flying overhead and noticed the people stranded on the ice with their ATVs..."

Holy moly.

A chopper lifted 7 of them to safety, a Coast Guard airboat saved another 4, and a good Samaritan in an airboat (LET'S GO) rescued another 7.

Can you picture that good Samaritan, who probably has a house on Lake Erie? Can you see him some years ago, his wife telling him incessantly as he purchases an "airboat" that it is "a total waste of money and will never go to any good use"?

Now picture that same man, and the look of supreme satisfaction he must have had on his face as he told his wife that he rescued 7 souls from a blinkin' iceberg that chipped off and was floating out to Valhalla on Lake Erie.

The King goes to that man today.
