The truth is now illegal in Colorado.

Yes, we covered the details of this law previously on the site, but a few things have changed since then.

Specifically, the latest version of the bill that was signed into law by Colorado governor Jared Polis on Friday night no longer has the provisions that would make misgendering and deadnaming "abuse" to the point where your kids are taken away or be used against parents in custody battles.

Otherwise, however, this remains one of the most radical anti-free speech and pro-trans delusion laws in the entire world.

The law expands the state's antidiscrimination laws, which apply to settings like workplaces and schools, to include provisions related to using a person's chosen name and referring to them how they wish.

If you call someone their given name and their correct pronouns then you will be breaking state anti-discrimination laws and will be in big legal trouble.

Think of every Christian in the state being up for the Jack Phillips treatment if they ever are in the situation where they are forced to tell the truth about someone's "gender identity."

You work at a school, you own any business, you deal with the public whatsoever? Then you are required by law to lie to people and "affirm" their gender delusions.

The measure was sponsored by Democratic Reps. Lorena Garcia and Rebekah Stewart and Sens. Faith Winter and Chris Kolker. Its antidiscrimination protections will go into effect immediately, as will another provision that requires schools with dress codes to allow students to choose from any option within the rules for uniforms.

The bill additionally allows Coloradans to change their name and gender marker on driver's licenses and official documents up to 3 times.

I guess because gender is fluid or something like that.

What in the world has happened to Colorado?
